Rated 1 out of 5 by D3 from Avoid buying Home Depot Online PROS -works CONS -very noisy -wrong size screws, bolts, etc -damaged back and front radiator grill -a little bent on the exterior( bottom, corners, and side) OTHER -Paid full price for a new air conditioner, but this seems like a used one. Amazon has the same one for $20 less but longer delivery time, 3-5 weeks longer (not days). If they want to sell used things they need to advertise it somewhere in the description. Not happy at all. I found a couple of used ones like this for half the price, please research before buying from Home Depot online. F.Y.I. If you decide to buy from Home Depot online regardless. Then please have it delivered to store, have them open it and look to see everything is as it should be. Mine came closed but once opened it was a different story.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Samafield from Quality product Unit cools well and functions as advertised. The only complaints I have are, this unit requires a lot more assembly then I expected (4hours) directions weren't very clear either. Overall I'm satisfied with this unit. It's been great for cooling our very small home (about 550 square feet) and keeps it cool even with the oven on. Would buy again. The owners manual is very good, but the installation instructions were not. Figuring out which screw or bolt to use where was next to impossible. The supports were unusable in my application.(I had to use the existing adjustable support arms from the unit I was replacing, which were a far better design anyway). The fact that a unit this size uses a 110v outlet was a big plus. The remote was more handy than I thought it would be. The true measure for me is longevity. Time will tell. Bought this for my parents house in New Mexico where the daily temps in summer time are well in to the nineties if not higher! This unit was very uncomplicated to install, took only a few hours, looks good & has enough power to cool their single level 1600 sq foot ranch house! They love the remote timer that can be set to the hours of the day & night, which is good as the temperatures in the desert are extreme between night & day! There is also a dehumidifier feature that can be turned off & on which is important to them as the air in their area is extremely dry! This is an excellent quality unit, built for years of service, is pretty quiet for a unit this size, saves a ton of money on energy costs, has all the bells & whistles & is worth every penny in my opinion!i Rated 4 out of 5 by Aris from Works well, installs securely I like it and it cools off my apartment well! Installing it got a bit tricky but I feel that using the removable chassis is definitely easier and safer than installing other ACs. Economy and Sleep modes are nice. The fan seems like it doesn't really blow air in from outside (i tried the various vent settings) the air was hotter than the air outside, but overall I think it was well worth it. Rated 4 out of 5 by Jim06 from Good simple design It has been working fine since new. However, I don't like the material it uses inside the upper cabinet and the vent can't be closed tight. The hooks on the upper part of the plastic frame broke so easily. I don't know why my set temperature had never reached after being run for a long while?
