Rated 5 out of 5 by nicko2440 from Saved my brick Over the course of the last few months, we've had very heavy rains which is very unusual this time of year for my region. The hard rain was hitting the 60 year old brick facade of my fireplace and bleeding through to our newly renovated living room. Wanting to keep the beautiful look of the brick, I searched high and low for a product that would keep the bricks natural appearance yet lock out any moisture. This product didn't disappoint! At first I was very apprehensive because of the consistency, it goes on a watery white (almost appears like skim milk) but once dry, forms a type of waterproof seal. Think of it like rain-x for masonry . It does leave a slight (very slight) shine to the brick-which was a concern of mine- however it actually restored the natural look and appears amazing. 2 coats is essential! Very highly recommend this product and will be purchasing more for other projects around our home.

Covered well and sealed Dyebrick painted brick surface in my wood burning fireplace prior to conversion to gas. Can be diluted to achieve perfect adhesion, surface penetration and coverage. More than one coat may be required but are easily applied and dry quickly. Results are color neutral. Home Depot should stock this in their stores, although online ordering and free store delivery was fine. Rated 5 out of 5 by HandyRob from Great Sealer This product is a concrete and masonry sealer. However, it works well on any cementitious porous surface. I use it to seal my tile grout and it outperforms all other tile sealers. This product is best applied with a foam applicator which allows you to carefully seal grout in no time. I quit buying tile sealer years ago when I got tired of re-sealing every year. Two coats of this sealer will last for years. I sealed my shower floor 10 years ago and it still looks brand new, no mold, no mildew. I would definitely recommend this product for any cementitious surface.
